How to Master Riding the Moovi E-Surf: A Beginner's Guide to Jetboarding

Riding a high-performance electric jetboard like the Moovi E-Surf is one of the most exciting experiences on the water. While it features an incredibly intuitive control layout, understanding correct body posture, throttle control, and carving techniques will make your first session safer and more fun. Follow our step-by-step rider guide below to master your Moovi E-Surf in minutes.

Step 1: Starting on Your Stomach & Knees

Begin in flat water. Lie prone (on your stomach) on the board with your chest centered. Hold the wireless throttle remote securely in your dominant hand. Press the safety lock, and apply light throttle to feel the jet thrust push you forward. Once the board is cruising flat, transition smoothly to your knees.

Step 2: Finding Your Stance & Standing Up

Keep a low center of gravity. Bring your front foot forward between your hands, followed by your back foot, spacing them shoulder-width apart in a classic surfboard stance. Slowly stand up, keeping your knees bent to absorb surface ripples. Maintain a steady, moderate throttle to keep the board stable on plane.

Step 3: Carving and Weight Distribution

Jetboards carve through body lean and foot pressure rather than steering wheels. To turn, look in the direction you want to go, shift your hips, and apply pressure to either your heels or toes. Keep your weight centered; shifting too far back will raise the nose and cause the jet pump to lose suction, while leaning too far forward can sink the nose.
