Flight Control & Remote Safety

  • Trigger Safety Autolock: Remote throttle automatically locks if left idle for 7 seconds. Press & hold "-" button for 1 second to unlock.
  • Smart Flight Assist (Plus Models): Uses bottom altimeter sensors to auto-stabilize. Toggle in remote menu to select Low, Medium, or High altitudes.
  • LCD Dashboard Info: Displays real-time speed, remote/battery charge, GPS strength, and inclination angle (tilt degree).

Smart Powerflight Battery Care

  • Power On/Off: Tap once with the magnetic wrist-strap key for 3 seconds. Keep magnet close (within 1cm) until progress bar completes.
  • Rotary Lock Safety: Turn rotary locks 90° clockwise. Operating the battery un-locked causes seawater entry, electrical corrosion, and terminal damage.
  • Storage & Temperature: For storage >1 month, maintain at 40-60% charge. Charging will not start below 10°C (50°F) or above 45°C (113°F).

The standard battery pack (EVO Lite) provides up to 100 minutes of continuous flight duration depending on rider weight and style. The high-capacity Plus battery (EVO Pro Plus / Max Plus / Master Plus) extends runtimes up to 120 minutes of dynamic carving. Standard recharge cycles take approximately 60-90 minutes with our smart fast-charger using standard 110V/220V outlets.
EPP vs Military Kevlar boards – which one is right for me?
EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) is virtually indestructible, absorbs impacts, and is completely ding-proof, making it highly recommended for beginners, schools, dynamic launching points, and shared family cruising. Does my Flyer EVO package include the smart flight and GPS features?
Smart flight assistance, GPS tracking, balance sensors, and active geo-fencing are exclusive to the "Plus" series packages (Pro Plus, Max Plus, and Master Plus). These units feature an integrated flight controller inside the board linked with Waydoo's smart flight software to protect riders and track dynamic stats via our smartphone app.
What should I do if my remote throttle trigger fails to initialize or shows an error on startup?
On startup, the remote performs an automatic calibration to establish the 'zero throttle' position. If you are holding the remote trigger down while powering it on, it will fail to initialize or restrict your speed range. To resolve this, simply release the trigger and restart the remote, or long-press the '+' button to enter the trigger throttle calibration menu to reset your trigger range.
How do I safely power on the eFoil, and what is the mandatory battery lock protocol?
To power on, hover your magnetic wrist-strap key close to the battery power button (within 1cm) for 3 seconds. Before launching, you must turn the two rotary locks 90° clockwise to secure the battery. Running the board unlocked seeps seawater into the plug well, causing galvanic corrosion and severe plug burns which void the warranty.
