The Hydroflyer, The easiest way to Efoil

We were first introduced to The Hydroflier in 2022. Like most people, we’re are always looking to lower the “Barrier to Entry” when bringing on new products. For efoils, this consists of the following:

Price- Can the target audience justify the cost of the product.

Portability- Is the product relatively easy to transport.

Ease of use- How Easy is the product to learn

Access to fun- How quickly can a beginner start to enjoy the experience.

Of course, we did our market research in addition to taking a deep dive into the specs and media associated with the product. At a glance, The Hydroflyer seemed to be a premium product that would be relatively easy to use. Though it did look good on paper, we were still skeptical. Will it be too heavy to move around? Is it really as easy as they claim? Will I hit those handlebars when I fall? These were a few of our main concerns.

We performed our initial test in calm water. Several of our staff and ambassadors were there. From out of shape beginners to skilled foilers. We were confident that we had a solid test group. After 3 hours and 12 guinea pigs we were all convinced that we had experienced the Easiest access to foiling yet. Everyone was smiling as soon as they climbed aboard and squeezed the throttle. After a few failed attempts, 80$ of the people were foiling for extended periods. Everyone was able to foil in 30 minutes or less. The shape of the board both cuts through the chop and ensures that you will fall to one side or the other avoiding the handlebars. Shortly after, we signed on board to distribute the product.
